What you are agreeing to
These are our terms of service. By using Vector Library, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service. We wrote this in plain language so it is easy to understand.
What our service does
Vector Library helps you search your documents using AI. Your documents always stay on your storage system. We do not host or store your files. We create search indexes to help you find information in your documents.
We use AI to process your documents so the service can understand them and answer your questions.
- Connect to your own document storage, such as local files or cloud storage.
- Ask questions about your documents in natural language.
- Get answers with citations showing which documents the answer came from.
- Create workspaces to organize document searches.
- Share workspace access with your team.
- Set different permission levels for team members.
Your account
To use our service, you need a Google account, you must be at least 13 years old, and you must follow these terms.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Do not share your login. If you think someone accessed your account without permission, contact us right away.
Rules for using the service
If you break these rules, we may suspend or terminate your account. We may also remove content that violates these rules.
- Do not upload illegal content or content that violates others' rights.
- Do not use the service to harm others or spread malware.
- Do not try to hack or break the service.
- Do not use the service to send spam.
- Do not overload our servers with too many requests.
- Respect the privacy of others whose documents you store.
Your content
You own your documents. We do not claim ownership of your files. Your documents stay on your storage, and we do not store your files on our servers.
By using our service, you give us permission to read documents from your storage, process them with AI, share search results with invited workspace members, and store search indexes and metadata.
You are responsible for the content you choose to index. Make sure you have the right to use it and do not use the service with content that infringes others' rights.
AI processing
Our service uses AI to process your documents. This is necessary for search, summaries, and answers.
Your documents stay on your storage. We read them from your storage system to create search indexes and do not store your files on our servers.
We may use external AI services for processing. Document content may be sent to those services when you search. You can configure your own AI service instead if you prefer.
AI-generated answers may not always be perfect. You should verify important information. We are not responsible for errors in AI-generated content.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service anytime. You can also delete your account.
If you delete your account, we delete profile information from our servers and remove workspaces you own from our system. Your actual document files are not affected because they stay on your storage system.
Workspaces where you are a member but not the owner remain, but your access is removed.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms. We will try to notify you first, but may act immediately in serious cases.
Our responsibility limits
We provide this service as-is. We do our best to keep it working well, but we cannot guarantee the service will always be available or that AI-generated answers will always be accurate.
Your documents are your responsibility. Since files stay on your storage system, we are not responsible for file loss, corruption, or backup. Please maintain your own backups.
We are not responsible for damages from inability to access the service, loss of search indexes or metadata, incorrect AI-generated content, actions of other workspace users, or problems caused by third-party services.
Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. If you use the free tier, our liability is limited to $100.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make significant changes, we will email you and give you 30 days notice. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the new terms.
